The Rannaleroch course at Strathmore Golf Centre is the main attraction at an ambitious 27-hole complex that first opened its doors to golfers in the late 1990s and has established itself as one of the most popular courses in the area.
Designed by John Salvesen, the Rannaleroch course has already been described as 'a Classic'. The generous greens are great targets, but their undulations make holing out a greater challenge than you might expect.
The four par 3's each present an individual challenge, ranging from 122 to 224 yards, while the fifth, a challenging par 5, requires a 160 yard carry over water from the White Tees.
Set in undulating parkland with hundreds of mature trees, the Rannaleroch Course is forgiving of inexperience, yet presents a stern test of golf from the white tees for low handicappers.
Happily, whatever your handicap, Salvesen's ingenious design ensures there are few uphill holes, despite rolling terrain.
In recent years the course has hosted a number of professional golf events, elite junior events and is a fair test for all level of golfers.
